Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 28, 2026

NotchPilot ("the app", "we", "us") is a native macOS application for developers. This policy explains, in plain terms, what the app does and does not do with your data.

The short version

NotchPilot runs entirely on your Mac. It has no user accounts, no servers of ours, and no telemetry. It does not collect, transmit, profile, or sell your personal data.

What the app reads — locally, on your device

Network connections

The only network request the app itself makes is for the optional weather widget: it derives your approximate location from your IP address via a public geolocation API and fetches current conditions from a public weather service (Open-Meteo). No name, account, or precise location is sent.

Any other network activity originates from the Anthropic (Claude Code) and OpenAI (Codex) command-line tools you already have installed. NotchPilot only reads the files those tools write locally — it does not proxy, log, or transmit your prompts or code anywhere.

Purchases and payments

NotchPilot is sold through Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the Merchant of Record. When you buy a license, Lemon Squeezy processes your payment and collects the information needed to do so (such as your email and payment details) under its own privacy policy. The developer of NotchPilot does not receive or store your full payment details.

Information the developer may hold

We do not sell this information or use it for advertising.

Your choices

Because the app collects nothing on-device, the only records about you are your purchase/support data held by Lemon Squeezy and in our support inbox. You may contact us to access or delete that information, subject to records we must keep for tax/accounting.

Children

NotchPilot is a developer tool and is not directed to children.

Changes

We may update this policy; the date above will change, and material changes will be noted on this page.
